A new fascination has emerged at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
Sri Lankan spin bowler Kamindu Mendis has emerged as a rare ambidextrous bowler - able to bowl from either hand with equal ability.
The 17-year-old has been representing Sri Lanka at the festival for up-and-coming young stars, making his mark with figures of 3/36 against Afghanistan.
The talent who has got everyone talking also can hold his own with the bat, making 68 against Pakistan.
He also played in a warm-up game against New Zealand, bowling just two overs and making 28 opening the batting.
The ability to bowl with either arm is exceedingly rare, and if Mendis can master the skill he could be a big asset for Sri Lankan cricket for a long time to come.
The ability has also been spotted in baseball, as last year, an ambidextrous pitcher made his MLB debut.
