Neil Wagner has continued his rampage on debut for Lancashire in county cricket by grabbing five second innings wickets against Nottinghamshire at Old Trafford.
The New Zealand left arm medium-fast bowler took 5 - 45 to have the outstanding match figures of 11 - 111. His team mate, the English fast bowler Jimmy Anderson, led the chorus of praise for Wagner describing his performance as "something pretty special".
Anderson said: "Neil Wagner was fantastic again. He should be really proud of that. It couldn't have gone any better for him.
"He is a fantastic guy, he loves playing, he wants to do well for the team and has so much energy on the field. He never turns down the opportunity to have a bowl."
Notts director of cricket Mick Newell told BBC Radio: "Fair play to Neil Wagner. He's had a terrific game, he's run in hard and bowled bouncers and yorkers and mixed it up and been very effective."
