New Zealand have gone down 3-0 to Uzbekistan in their opening match of the world women's volleyball championship in Kazakhstan.
New Zealand lost the Asian group second round pool B match 25-20, 25-17, 25-19.
The three teams in the group, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and New Zealand, are assured of spots in the third round after Maldives pulled out before the competition.
