Valerie Adams accepts running man challenge, flexes her dance muscles

Valerie Adams has added to the running man craze, dancing with her trainers during a workout.

New Zealand Police, Olympic champion Valerie Adams has accepted your running man challenge with glee.

Adams flexed her dancing muscles on Instagram, posting a video of her "training" regime.

The post was captioned: "Morning Session complete with a fun warm down to finish."

The "running man" challenge has gone viral since a group of college basketball players from the University of Maryland in the United States, last month began posting videos to Instagram of them performing the late 80s dance move.

Yesterday, a group of Kiwi cops posted a video of themselves doing the running man on Facebook and challenged police around the world to post their own running man videos.

Yesterday, the New York Police Department shared a video in response to the challenge laid down by the Kiwi cops.

In the video, a group of NYPD cops share the dancefloor - a path alongside the Hudson River - with a group of kids from a Brooklyn school.

The Kiwi video, posted yesterday on the NZ Police Recruitment Facebook page immediately went viral, and today had been viewed 4.4 million times.

The Kiwi cops challenged other police around the world, including the NYPD, Victoria Police, NSW Police Force, Western Australia Police, Queensland Police Service, South Australia Police, ACT Policing, Tasmania Police, LAPD Headquarters, and Isles of Scilly Police to make their own running man video.
