Ronda Rousey will receive an immediate rematch with Holly Holm and the chance to win back the title she lost in stunning fashion last month.
After Holm shocked the previously-undefeated Rousey with a second-round knockout at UFC 193 in Melbourne, attention immediately turned to the possibility of a rematch between the pair.
After after initially saying such a fight would "make sense", UFC president Dana White confirmed his intention to book the rematch between the bantamweight fighters.
"I think that if we didn't make the rematch, me and [UFC CEO Lorenzo Fertitta] should probably lose our promoter's license," White told ESPN radio show Mike and Mike. "That's the fight that's going to happen. That's the fight.
"Ronda Rousey has gone undefeated; she's taken the sport to another level and beaten the best women in the world in 14 seconds, 30 seconds. She deserves a rematch. Holly agrees she deserves a rematch. We'll figure it out."
