Kiwi Mark Hunt can now enjoy a big dinner after making weight for his interim heavyweight title about against Fabricio Werdum at UFC 180 in Mexico tomorrow (NZT).
The Super Samoan had been on a tear to shed around 20kg after he took the opportunity to meet Werdum on shortnotice after champion Cain Velasquez was unable to defend the title proper against Werdum.
It's been a draining three weeks for Hunt (10-8-1) but he said he would tuck in to some pasta and cake this evening after he weighed in on the UFC's heavyweight title fight limit of 120.2kg.
Fighters can weigh one pound over the limit in non-title bouts.
"I think it's a great opportunity and I thank God for allowing me to be here," Hunt said.
Werdum, who has spent the past two months in Mexico City to acclimatise to the high altitude, weighed 105kg.
The 37-year-old Werdum (18-5-1) will start as the favourite in tomorrow's bout but Hunt's knockout power means he can never be discounted.
The injured Velasquez was in attendance in Mexico City today and entertained the fans who attended the weigh-in with a question and answer session before the fighters jumped on the scales.
