Fans will have to wait another eight months but a rematch between Holly Holm and Ronda Rousey is being targeted for July 9 in Las Vegas, according to reports.
UFC president Dana White has confirmed that Holm's next fight will be against the Rousey, who she defeated for the bantamweight title in Melbourne last month, ESPN reports.
Rousey, who suffered a concussion in the defeat to Holm, has been given a six-month medical suspension by the UFC due to the extent of her injuries.
Holm's manager Lenny Fresquez told the Los Angeles Times this week that Holm needs to keep active and fight before Rousey's suspension ends, stating Miesha Tate as a possible opponent for her first title defense.
But ESPN reports a Holm-Rousey rematch will be the main event for the landmark UFC 200 pay-per-view event on July 9, to take place a newly built 20,000-seat arena in Las Vegas.
