Is this the toughest "pound-for-pound number one jockey on the planet?"
That's exactly how UFC star Conor McGregor pictures himself in his comic foray into horse racing.
The reigning UFC lightweight champion has traded in his grappling gloves for leather reins as he helps promote the $12 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational to be held at Gulfsteam Park in Florida this month.
In a shrewd marketing strategy, McGregor appears as the honorary "13th jockey" for the 12-horse race in a four-part short film series, teaming up with comedian Jon Lovitz, who co-stars as McGregor's trainer.
