New Zealand triathlete Samantha Warriner captured her maiden World Cup title in Japan yesterday.
Warriner won the elite women's race in the fourth round of the World Cup series in Ishigaki, heading home a pair of Japanese competitors, Kiyomi Niwata in second, and Akiko Sekine.
Warriner was 20 seconds ahead of Niwata with a time of 2h 39s.
