Triathlon New Zealand has named six juniors (U19) to wear the fern at the ITU World Championships in Rotterdam in September this year.
Ari Graham (Christchurch), who had a clean sweep of the National Junior Series, winning all five events gets her shot at international racing this year. She's joined by NZ Schools Champion, Hannah Knighton (Waikato/Tauranga) and Ainsley Thorpe (Auckland) who gets another year and rounds up the girls.
2017 NZ Schools Champion, Janus Staufenberg (Wanaka) will make his debut in the Kiwi team while Aucklanders, Trent Dodds and Dan Hoy make their final U19 appearance.
Mark Elliott, High Peformance Director is excited by the talent that is demonstrated in this team.
"The selected athletes span across the country from the top of Auckland to the deep south in Wanaka," he said.
