There were very brutal conditions for competitors last weekend at the Challenge Wanaka event. As well as the full iron distance race, they also staged a half ironman - 1.9k swim, a 90km cycle, finishing with a 2km half marathon.
Among the starters was blind Invercargill woman Hannah Pascoe. She was guided around the course by Christchurch woman Rosa Carter. Radio Sport reporter Brian Ashby chatted with Rosa about the challenges faced in guiding a blind competitor.
