The Triathlon New Zealand team are counting down to Yokohama this weekend, the third event in the World Triathlon Series.
Five athletes will take to the start line including female series leader Andrea Hewitt. In the men's race; Ryan Sissons, Tony Dodds, Sam Ward and Tayler Reid will be wearing the silver fern.
HP Director, Mark Elliott expects the NZ team to rise to the depth of competition on offer this weekend.
"...only the French are missing from this WTS. Therefore, the goal is to take it up another level from what we saw on the Gold Coast," he said.
Tayler Reid debuted on the Gold Coast and will start his exposure to full Olympic distance this weekend.
"Reid performed with distinction at New Plymouth and the Gold Coast. He's come off a great block of training and has been very consistent in his training load and intensity through this phase," Elliott said.
