Kiwi triathlete Andrea Hewitt headed back to Europe on Wednesday for the Hamburg round of the World Triathlon Series.
The three-time Olympian had a stellar start to the year winning back-to-back races, but opted to skip the Leeds round and instead concentrate on training at home in Christchurch.
She said it's been over 10 years since she last trained at home in June having always been based in Europe, and she thinks the colder conditions have definitely toughened her up.
Hewitt's new foundation last night raised around $7,000 which will go towards helping resource up and coming triathletes.
