Bevan Docherty pulled out just before the halfway mark of the Hamburg round of the triathlon world championship yesterday.
Docherty was 35th out of the water on the swim leg almost 30s off the leader Russia's Denis Vasiliev. He caught the leaders on the bike leg but fell back in the middle stages of the run and pulled out.
Docherty's withdrawal drops him five places in the overall standings to 10th.
