Hamish Carter appears fairly adamant his time as Triathlon New Zealand's high performance director will be a short one.
The Olympic gold medalist has taken over on an interim basis until March, following the resignation of Graeme Maw late last year.
Carter is on secondment from HPSNZ, where he works with a number of different sports.
He says he brings outside eyes to other codes and that idea will also be beneficial to triathlon in the long-run.
Carter says while he's enjoyed being back working closely within the sport, an outside influence is the best approach.
