New Zealander Andrea Hewitt has won race two on the new world triathlon circuit in Madrid.
Hewitt won from Swede Lisa Norden in a sprint finish that required a five minute study of the photo finish to decide first place.
Hewitt said she started a little too quickly on the run, but then held off in the middle stages before kicking hard at the end. She said it was amazing that it came down to the last centimetre and was thrilled to have come out on top.
Fellow kiwi Sam Warriner had the quickest run split of the day to finish in seventh place while Nicky Samuels was 14th.
In the men's race, Kris Gemmell and Tony Dodds both failed to finish.
