Tony Veitch is joined by TV3 reporter and commentator Andrew Gourdie to talk the big issues from the sporting weekend, including the debate about live streaming sport, the Black Caps in South Africa and Veitch's opinion on which design the New Zealand flag should change to.
What effect will live streaming have for sports fans frustrated with satellite TV?
Veitch: The streaming of the cricket, I'm getting diverse feedback, but a lot of people are saying 'this is going to change my life'
Gouride: Is it going to change your life though? Really, I mean live streaming isn't exactly a new thing.
What's happening to the Black Caps?
Veitch: Are the Black Caps becoming like the All Blacks where you can take five or six key players out of the team, you can rotate them in ... and they can still win and still be competitive against the best sides in the world, i.e. South Africa overnight.
Gourdie: I don't think they're there yet but they're certainly getting there.
Flag debate
Veitch: Eric Murray, we've sent him the flag
Gourdie: You've sent it to him?
Veitch: I've sent it to him
Gourdie: You're pushing for this flag
Veitch: We're pushing for this flag. So he's going to wear it at the World Championships, so next Monday will you and I be sitting back saying, the reaction to that will be what?
Gourdie: If Eric Murray is going to hold up that flag does he suddenly think everyone is going to be on board with it?
