Tony Veitch is joined by rugby commentator Michael Guerin to talk the big issues from the bumper trans-Tasman sporting weekend, including the All Blacks' win over the Wallabies and the Silver Ferns' loss to the Diamonds.
Did Wallabies coach Michael Cheika make a mistake in his line up?
Veitch: Did Michael Cheika absolutely cock it up?
Guerin: Yes, 100 per cent. How did he not play the two fetchers? And the Quade thing backfired, but at least he knows what not to do for the World Cup.
Will Nehe Milner-Skudder play in the World Cup?
Veitch: Normally I respect you greatly Michael Guerin, because you get a lot of things right, but you said Nehe Milner-Skudder would never, never make any game time. Lock him in for the World Cup, surely?
Guerin: I agree, but I'm still reading in papers this morning that Cory Jane's got a chance, Israel Dagg's got a chance. Now your theory is even stranger, you're trying to tell me Saturday night they're only going to take two halfbacks. That's stupid.
Should we be happy with the Silver Ferns' performance against the Diamonds?
Veitch: You're happy with what - 18 goals [ahead] to three goals?
Guerin: I'm happy with second. We're going in the right direction.
Veitch: Oh come on mate, you wouldn't say it about the All Blacks. You're saying that because it's female sport again.
Guerin: I thought they played well.
