A daring pigeon has caused a brief stoppage to a Wimbledon qualifying match - resting on the net before being chased away.
Frenchwoman Amandine Hesse and Japan's Miyu Kato were dueling it out at Roehampton when the bird interrupted play in the second set.
Hesse attempted to swat the pigeon away before it flew around and found a spot on the net.
Kato went onto win the clash 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. The pigeon, we can only assume, went onto find some bread.
Pigeons have been an issue in the past at Wimbledon before the hiring on Rufus the hawk - a Harris hawk that patrols the grounds during the third grand slam of the tennis season.
