Kiwi tennis player Michael Venus and Croatian Mate Pavic have been beaten in the final of the Metz tournament overnight.
It was the seventh ATP final in 2016 for Venus and Pavic. The now have a record of four titles and three runners up finishes.
In the final they were defeated by Julio Peralta (Chile) and Horacio Zeballos (Argentina) 6-3 7-6(4) with only one break of serve the whole match going the way of the South Americans.
Venus and Pavic now travel to China to play in the Shenzhen ATP event.
