Tennis: Win for Erakovic

New Zealand teenager Marina Erakovic has won her first professional singles title after defeating Australian third seed, Daniella Dominikovic in the final of the US$10,000 ITF senior event on grass at Warrnambool, Victoria.

Erakovic celebrated her 17th birthday with a 6-2 4-6 6-3 victory over the 381st ranked Dominikovic. The win is likely to see her ranking improve from its current position of 616 to inside the world's top 530.

She will now play two more ITF US$10,000 grass court events in Victoria at Benalla and Yarrawonga in the next two weeks.
