Tennis: Wimbledon final defeat for Erakovic

New Zealand's Marina Erakovic, 17, and her Romanian partner, Monica Niculescu, lost the Wimbledon junior girls' final for the second successive year yesterday.
They went down to the top seeds, Viktoria Azarenka, of Belarus, and Hungary's Agnes Szavay 7-6 (7-5), 2-6, 0-6.

Meanwhile, New Zealand's Rubin Statham, 18, lost the final of the Futures tennis tournament in Japan.

He lost 4-6 3-6 to tournament second seed Go Soeda, of Japan, in the US$10,000 ($14,540) tournament.
