KEY POINTS:
AUCKLAND - Dutchman Rogier Wassen won his second consecutive doubles title at Auckland's Heineken Open, condemning Swede Simon Aspelin to his third straight Auckland final loss.
Wassen and South African Jeff Coetzee were a set down when the rain-interrupted match resumed today.
But they seemed to be more focused than their opponents today, beating Aspelin and his South African partner Chris Haggard 6-7 6-4 10-2 after a match-deciding tiebreak.
Wassen, who has one of the more unusual serve backswings in professional tennis, and Coetzee were more accurate than their opponents, who made a number of unforced errors.
The Auckland titles are the only ones 30-year-old Wassen has taken out in his career. Wassen, who has an ATP doubles ranking of 44, won last year with Romanian Andrei Pavel, beating Aspelin and Australian Todd Perry in another tiebreak.
