New Zealand tennis player Michael Venus has hit good form as he prepares for the Asia/Oceania Group I Davis Cup tie against Chinese Taipei in Taipei this week.
The 24-year-old has won the singles title at the US$15,000 Margaret River Futures in Australia.
Venus, who had hip surgery earlier in the year, beat sixth-seeded Australian Adam Feeney 6-3 3-6 6-3 in the final to win his third career singles ITF title.
He will now join Rubin Statham, Dan King-Turner, Artem Sitak and non-playing captain Marcel Vos in Taipei for the Davis Cup tie on October 19-21.
