New Zealander Michael Venus won through to the final of the Challenger tournament in Uzbekistan.
Ranked 448 in the world, Venus beat former world junior No 1 Tsung Yang from Taiwan 6-3 6-3 in his semifinal yesterday and will now face the top seed and world 155th-ranked player Blaz Kavcic of Slovenia.
The run of wins will give Venus at least 48 ATP ranking points and see him break into the top 400.
