Another top win for New Zealand tennis player Michael Venus at the Swiss Indoors ATP 500 tournament in Basel, Switzerland.
Venus and Swede Robert Lindstedt have defeated the third seeds Raven Klaasen (South Africa) and American Rajeev Ram 6-4 7-5 in the quarter-finals and will now face the tournament top seeds Horia Tecau (Romania) and Jean-Julien Rojer (Netherlands) for a place in the final.
The Kiwi and Swede won four of their seven break point opportunities in the one hour 13 minute victory.
It is the first time Venus has progressed beyond the first round of an ATP 500 tournament and should see his current ranking of 39 improve significantly.
