French Open doubles champion Michael Venus remains on course for a second Grand Slam title this year after a come from behind quarterfinal win in the Mixed doubles at the US Open.
Venus and Taipei's Hao-Ching Chan, seeded third have beaten seventh seeds Canadian Gabriela Dabrowski and India's Rohan Bopanna 4-6, 6-3 10-8 in the super tie break with the match taking one hour and four minutes.
Venus and Chan made a sluggish start, dropping serve early and although they had break point chances, were unable to get back into the set.
However the Kiwi and Taiwanese player broke early in the second set and went on to level the match with the second set taking 27 minutes.
The match went to a super tie break (first to 10 points) and Venus and Chan raced to a 9-5 lead before eventually closing it out 10-7 on their third match point.
