The International Tennis Federation's anti-doping tribunal has banned New Zealander Mark Nielsen from competition play for two years. Nielsen, 28, tested positive for the banned substance Finasteride at the Australian Open in January.
The ban dates from March 10. Tennis New Zealand chief executive Don Turner said last night that the "combination of unintentional mistakes" was most unfortunate for Nielsen and the sport in New Zealand.
