New Zealand tennis player Rubin Statham has tuned up for next month's Davis Cup tie against Indonesia with a doubles title victory in a Futures tournament in Rotterdam.
Statham and American partner Rylan Rizza took on local hopes, Matwe Middelkoop and Miliaan Niesten in the final and won 6-3 7-6 (4).
The Davis Cup tie against Indinesia will be played in Hamilton July 10-12.
In the women's competition at Rotterdam, Kairangi Vano and partner Alenka Hubacek of Australia, met top seeds Irina Kuzmina of Latvia and Eugeniya Pashkova of Russia in the final, goin down 7-6 (6) 7-6 (8).
Meanwhile in Malaysia, New Zealand number one Dan King-Turner reached the singles semi-finals at a Futures Tournament in Petaling Jaya.
King-Turner, seeded third, lost to top-seed and occasional doubles partner Luigi D'Agord of Italy 7-6 6-1.
