New Zealand tennis No 1 Rubin Statham has maintained his good form of late with a doubles win in the US$10,000 Futures event in Fieberbrunn, Austria today (NZT).
Statham who has a current ATP singles ranking of 337 and doubles ranking of 213 won the title at the tournament by teaming up with Australian, Dan Propoggia.
In the semifinals they defeated Francesco Borgo (Italy) and Mikhail Vasiliev (Russia) 4-6 6-3 10-4.
To take the title the beat Austria's Max Neuchrist and Croat Mate Pavic 6-7(6) 7-5(10-6).
During the previous week Statham reached the final of doubles at the 30,000 euro Challenger at Oberstaufen, Germany with partner Andrey Kuznetsov.
