Confirmation of another former women's world No 1 could be the icing on the cake for next year's ASB Classic.
Tournament director Karl Budge reveals his lineup this afternoon, with 2014 champion Ana Ivanovic a strong possibility to join defending champion Venus Williams and this year's runner-up Caroline Wozniacki in the lineup.
While the 2010 tournament had five top 20 ranked players, none were in the top 10, or had the pulling power of Williams, Wozniacki or Ivanovic.
Budge's friendship with Ivanovic and her ranking of No 16 makes the Serbian a marquee attraction.
