New Zealand's Artem Sitak has qualified for an ATP tournament in the United States.
He is to compete in this week's $US1.2 million ($NZ1.37 million) Legg Mason Classic in Washington DC after emerging through pre-qualifying.
Sitak, 25, booked his place in the tournament proper by beating Chile's former world top 10 player Nicolas Massu 7-6 6-2 overnight (NZT).
The New Zealand Davis Cup representative has drawn American Donald Young world No 127 in the first round.
The Russia-born Sitak is presently ranked 389th in the world.
