The ASB Classic will stretch on for an extra day, with the final confirmed to be held on Sunday after play was called off for a second straight day.
Organisers were hoping that the tournament would finish on time on Saturday, but they failed to make up lost time today, with play once again being washed out.
As a result, both quarter-finals and semifinals will be played tomorrow, with the final set for the tournament's scheduled reserve day - Sunday. Showers are forecast until early Saturday morning, but it looks like there will be clear skies for Saturday afternoon and all of Sunday.
That leaves a jam-packed Saturday schedule, with the first quarter-finals set to take place at 10.00am.
Second seed Julia Goerges will play Polona Hercog on centre court to start proceedings, while at the same time third seed Barbara Strycova will take on Su-Wei Hsieh on the grandstand court.
