Top seed and ASB Classic favourite Flavia Pennetta has booked a place in the final of the ASB tennis Classic in Auckland, losing just 16 games in total en route.
Pennetta has thrashed doubles partner and fellow Italian Francesca Schiavone 6-3, 6-love in her semifinal.
She says it was a lot easier than she had expected, with Schiavone being nervous from the beginning and making a lot of mistakes.
Pennetta will face third seed Yanina Wickmayer in tomorrow's final after the Belgian dismissed Israel's Shahar Peer in straight sets.
Wickmayer says she wasn't at her best.
She says the conditions weren't very easy as their was a lot of wind, but she played well on the important points.
Flavia Pennetta and Schiavone will combine for the women's doubles semis against top seeds Cara Black and Liezel Huber.
