Tennis: Pennetta advances at ASB Classic

Flavia Pennetta strolled through to tomorrow's final at the ASB Classic after annihilating Angelique Kerber 6-1 6-2 in just 59 minutes in today's first semifinal.

Pennetta was totally dominant against an error-prone Kerber and the win went some way to avenging her defeat to the German at last year's US Open quarter-final.

Pennetta will play the winner of the second semifinal between former world No 2 Svetlana Kuznetsova and China's Jie Zheng.
