Marina Erakovic and doubles partner Arantxa Parra Santonja have advanced through to the second round of the US Open.
The New Zealand and Spanish duo were too strong with the American pairing of Louisa Chirico and Katerina Stewart, winning 6-4, 6-3.
They will face 12 seeds Garbine Muguruza and Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain in the second round.
Erakovic's best doubles performance at the tournament was making the quarter-finals in 2008.
She faces Russia's Elena Vesnina in the singles second round tomorrow.
