Dan King Turner and Rubin Statham have put New Zealand in command in the Asia Oceania Davis Cup tennis group two final against China in New Plymouth.
King-Turner has beaten Chinese No 2 Sun Peng 6-3 6-2 6-4 after Statham overcame Chinese No 1 Yan Bai in four sets.
Statham says he had to change tactics after losing the first set. He says he had to make adjustments and it paid off.
King Turner and G.D. Jones will try to wrap up the tie in this afternoon';s doubles.
