New Zealand's Marcus Daniell and his Dutch partner Wesley Koolhof are through to the doubles final at the ATP tournament in Budapest after a tight semi-final win.
Playing their first ATP tournament together in nearly two months, the unseeded duo have beaten German's Kevin Krawietz and Andreas Mies 3-6,6-2 10-8 in 1 hour 27 in the semi-finals.
The Kiwi will be chasing his 5th ATP title and second with Koolhof who is appearing in his 3rd ATP final in a row after reaching the Miami Masters 1000 final with Stefanos Tsitsipas and the Monte Carlo Masters final with Robin Haase.
Daniell started the week ranked 69, but with no clay court points to defend due to being injured this time last year, he can be expected to rise into the top 60 next week with a goal of being back in the top 50 by the end of the clay court swing.
