Third seeds Kiwi Marcus Daniell and British partner Dominic Inglot have lost a cliffhanger doubles quarter final at the ATP 250 tournament in Marrakech.
Daniell and Inglot have been beaten 6-7, 6-0 11-9 by India's Divij Sharan and German Jan-Lennard Struff in 1 hr 30.
After winning a tight first set Daniell and Inglot lost their way in the second but regained their composure during the tie breaker which went down to the wire.
Daniell has revealed the wrist injury which hampered him during the Davis Cup tie against China in February flared up again and he will take a week off next week before preparing for the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona where he's based.
Daniell who is ranked 35th in the doubles rankings, had no points to defend this week after losing in the first round in Morocco last year and is likely to maintain his current ranking next week.
