Talented Dutch Michaella Krajicek will play in the ASB Classic tennis tournament in Auckland in December-January.
The world No 34 has won three singles titles - Hobart and Hertogenbosch, both last year, and Tashkent in 2005.
Her win at Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands was particularly pleasing for her as she beat the tournament's top three seeds - Elena Dementieva and Dinara Safina among them, there.
Krajicek, 18, also reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals.
The success at Wimbledon was due to a battling victory over Anna Chakvetadze in three sets. She was eventually beaten by Marion Bartoli.
It will be Krajicek's first appearance in Auckland.
"Michaella is going to be a real highlight of the 2008 ASB Classic," tournament director Richard Palmer said.
"She's new, she's talented and has already had significant results in her career."
Krajicek is coached by her father Petr. One of here brothers, Richard, is the 1996 Wimbledon champion and a former top-five ranked player.
As a junior, Krajicek won the 2004 girls singles title at the US Open after being a finalist the previous year. She also won the 2004 US junior doubles title with New Zealander Marina Erakovic and the doubles at the 2003 French Open.
The classic will be held from at the ASB Tennis Centre from December 31-January 5, preceded by two days of qualifying.
