KEY POINTS:
New Zealand No 1 Dan King-Turner has been granted a main draw wildcard into January's Heineken Open tennis tournament in Auckland.
King-Turner, 22, has spent most of the year based in London training and playing tournaments in Europe.
He picked up his first Futures title by winning the US$15,000 ($22,013) event at Frinton in England and was also a singles finalist at another event.
Two weeks ago, he won his first doubles title at a tournament in Israel.
Other solid results had King-Turner reaching the semifinals of the Blenheim Futures in New Zealand and the quarterfinals at five other events.
He is playing in this week's New Zealand residential championships in Auckland.
King-Turner played in the Heineken Open main draw for the first time last January after winning a wildcard playoff but lost to top-60 ranked Florian Mayer of Germany in straight sets in the first round.
The Heineken Open will be held at the ASB Tennis Centre in Auckland from January 8- 13.
