Fifth seed Fernando Gonzalez from Chile has powered into the semifinals of the Heineken Open in Auckland.
Gonzalez has thumped American Robby Ginepri 6-3 6-4 in the quarterfinals to book a spot in the final four, where he will meet either number six seed Juan Ignaio Chela or Italian Potito Starace.
However, other big names continue to tumble out of the tournament.
Top seed Guillermo Coria from Argentina is the latest casualty, losing 6-4 6-4 to Belgium's Olivier Rochus in the quarterfinals.
Rochus, who is ranked 58th in the world, came back from a break down in the first set to upset the world number six.
Rochus will play either Argentina's Jose Acasuso or Czech qualifier Jan Hernych in the semifinals.
