KEY POINTS:
A glamour tie for New Zealand's best hope and a potential corker between Juan Carlos Ferrero and Mario Ancic are the notable clashes in the first round of the Heineken Open.
Dan King-Turner, the 24-year-old top-ranked New Zealander will find himself up against the tournament's second seed, Juan Ignacio Chela of Argentina.
The truth is, ranked just 344th in the world, King-Turner was never a great bet to still be in business come the second round. Now he'll get the chance to play against the man currently ranked 20 in the world.
"I have to take the positives out of the draw. I have got an opportunity to play one of the best players in the world and I'm looking forward to it.
King-Turner, who has jumped about 100 places in the rankings in the last year, isn't going to get too technical in his approach.
He decided to play recently in New Caledonia to get himself used to playing in heat and humidity. He's going to "go out there and be aggressive. There's a lot less pressure on me than last time and I will just have to go out there swinging".
That's probably pretty much how Mario Ancic is going to approach his tie with Ferrero.
Elsewhere, No 1 seed and world No 5 David Ferrer will take on his fellow countryman Oscar Hernandez, while 2006 champion Jarkko Niemenin has been drawn against Xavier Malisse of Belgium.
Another potential fiery contest will be the match between third seed Juan Monaco from Spain and Swede Thomas Johansson, who won the Australian Open in 2002.
