Tennis: Ferrer returning to Auckland

A top 10 ranked player has been confirmed for January's Heineken tennis Open.

World number seven David Ferrer will return to Auckland.

The Spaniard has been a regular visitor over the years and won his first career hard court title here in 2007.

He's in good form too.

Ferrer won his second title of the year, in Valencia, at the weekend and is on the verge of qualifying for the season ending tournament in London.
