Favourites Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic made short work of their third round opponents in the ATP Rome claycourt Masters yesterday to cruise into Friday's quarter-finals. World No 1 Nadal hammered world No 27 Robin Soderling of Sweden 6-1 6-0 and Federer triumphed over Czech 16th seed Radek Stepanek 6-4 6-1 in 1hr 8m.
