New Zealand's Marina Erakovic is safely through her first hurdle at Wimbledon.
The Kiwi tennis number one has beaten Brazilian Paula Cristina Goncalves 6-4,6-3 in one hour and 28 minutes in the first round of qualifying at the All England Club.
The Brazilian is ranked 176 while Erakovic is ranked 149.
Erakovic needs to win three qualifying matches to book her place in the main draw.
She will next face Poland's Urszula Radwanska tomorrow morning New Zealand time.
