New Zealand number one Marina Erakovic has been handed a favourable draw in the opening round of the Australian Open starting next week.
The world number 61 will face a qualifier in the first round with the winner to face either 24th seed Lucie Safarova of the Czech Republic or American Christina McHale in the second round.
Erakovic has previously won just won opening round match in Melbourne, beating Czech Petra Cetkovska in 2009.
The New Zealander's best performance at a Grand Slam tournament is a third round appearance at Wimbledon in 2008.
