Kiwi tennis No 1 Marina Erakovic and doubles partner Cara Black are through to the third round of the US Open doubles after a straight sets win.
The 13th-seeded pair defeated Varvara Lepchenko (United States) and Saisai Zheng (China) 6-1 7-6 (5) earlier today and will now face second-seeded Russians Ekaterina Makarova and Elena Vesnina.
As a team Erakovic and Black of Zimbabwe have reached three WTA doubles finals since May as well as the quarter-finals of the French Open.
