New Zealand number one Marina Erakovic has powered into the quarter-finals of the Linz Open in Austria.
Erakovic eased past Klara Koukalova of the Czech Republic 6-0 6-2 to book a spot in the final eight.It continues a fine run for Erakovic who upset eighth seed Caroline Garcia in the opening round.
The world number 87 will face Italian Camila Giorgi, ranked 42nd, for a spot in the semifinals. The pair have met just once previously, in 2011 which the New Zealander won in straight sets.
Erakovic also won her opening doubles match with Spanish partner Anabel Medina Garrigues, defeating American Nicole Melichar and Stephanie Ida Vogt of Liechtenstein 6-1, 6-2.
