Marina Erakovic is through to the final of the US$235,000 Memphis WTA tournament, after beating Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele 6-2 6-4 this morning.
It is the second year in a row that Erakovic has reached the final of the Memphis event.
She was eventually beaten in 2012 by Swede Sofia Arvidsson, who she accounted for in the second round this time.
The semifinal victory was straightforward for Erakovic ranked at 71 in the world. The first set was as the scoreline suggested with Erakovic breaking easily on two occasions while in the second set there was a break a piece early on before the 24-year-old Aucklander sealed the contest when she broke again in the 10th game.
Erakovic will take on either Slovakia's Magdalena Rybarikova or Germany's Sabine Lisicki in the final, which will be the third time the Kiwi has had an opportunity to challenge for a title.
